BACH REMEDIES PRODUCTION

Step one
Two methods are used to produce flower macerates: the sun method and the boiling method. In the sun method, the plant material is soaked in natural rock water and left in sunrise for a couple of hours.

It is used to prepare 20 essences – mostly these from delicate flowers which blossom in summertime. The boiling method is used to prepare the other 18 remedies. Flowers of trees or bushes blooming in the spring or in late summer, when the power of the Sun is weaker, are soaked in rock water and heated on fire. Later on, the plant material is removed from water.

Step two
The flower macerates produced in step one are mixed with 40% brandy, which acts as preservative. That is how mother tinctures are created.

Step three
To produce stock remedies which are later available on the market, the mother tinctures are diluted with 27% alcohol. Alcohol does not allow bacteria to multiply in water. It is not an active ingredient and does not influence the power or effectiveness of the remedies.
